What We Do

The RFA will be engaging in a series of initiatives to education policymakers and the public on the viability and necessity of bringing the best broadband to rural America so that these communities can participate fully in the digital economy.

We are submitting comments to the FCC, NTIA, and RUS on the best policies for spurring deployment and how best to spend the stimulus dollars set aside for rural broadband in the ARRA.

We are developing concepts around the creation of a voluntary national broadband standard that will put a stake in the ground as to the kind of broadband networks all Americans want, need, and deserve.

And we'll be producing a series of opportunities to help rural fiber deployers network and learn from each other to foster the collaboration that's needed to tackle this large challenge of wiring all of America with next-generation broadband.
